NASPO-RPN Purchasing Guides

In partnership with the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) and on behalf of the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services (DES) and Washington State Department of Ecology, RPN has prepared a set of new Green Purchasing Best Practices Guides, designed to promote environmentally preferable purchasing at the state level.

Each Guide describes the environmental, health, and economic issues associated with the product category it covers as well as any performance or availability issues that purchasers may encounter. It also includes descriptions of relevant green certifications and standards, recommended specifications, a sample vendor questionnaire, and model bid sheets. Each Guide begins with a two-page summary embedded with links to the rest of the document, which can be used to quickly absorb the Guide’s content or to navigate it with ease.
