The World Bank’s Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP) held a two-day practitioners workshop on public procurement of energy efficient products on June 7-8, 2012 in Washington, DC. More than 30 participants from around the world convened to discuss international experiences and share their approaches and lessons on fostering energy efficient procurement in the public sector.

ESMAP also presented its draft report on global experience and good practices on energy efficient purchasing, and discussed the findings and preliminary conclusions. Presentations and summaries of the discussions from the workshop are available on the ESMAP website.

The final report from the workshop is expected to be published by the end of the year.
