This is week three for me as the new Director of Workplace Programs, and I will start by saying thank you for being committed to socially and environmentally responsible purchasing. I come to the position with over 15 years of membership program experience and some 13 years of specialization in corporate social responsibility (CSR). My background has included launching the CSR program at the American Staffing Association, serving as Executive Director of the William James Foundation, which educates and funds entrepreneurs to launch socially responsible businesses, and managing the launch and development of the first global standard to verify CSR reports—the AA1000 Assurance Standard for the international, UK-based organization AccountAbility. In addition, I have had the pleasure of teaching at New York University concerning nonprofit-CSR partnerships.
