Saving Green—Money and Resources—Through Purchasing |
In today’s economic climate, all organizations need to improve their bottom line, and RPN is working to provide information that will help you reduce purchasing costs and increase your savings. RPN is conducting a survey that will be the basis for our upcoming “Saving Green” Purchasing Guide, which will focus on how purchasers can save money and resources, and we invite you to contribute to its success by filling out the questionnaire when it arrives in your e-mail box.

Take the Saving Green Survey—Save Money and Resources
RPN invites its members to participate in a short survey that will form the basis of RPN’s upcoming publication, “The Responsible Purchasing Guide to Saving Green,” which will focus on how you and your institution can procure socially and environmentally responsible products that yield financial and resource cost savings. Your responses will be invaluable in the creation of a guide that will help purchasers save green by going green. Please watch for the survey in your e-mail inbox. |

Paper Standards Comparison Chart
A bewildering array of different eco-labels and standards exist for paper and it is not always clear what differentiates one from another. To make it easier for organizations to purchase environmentally preferable paper, RPN created a Paper Standards Comparison Chart, which outlines the differences between common eco-labels and their multiple standards. The chart also describes ambiguous claims that purchasers should be mindful of and defines several important terms associated with paper production and recycling. More |
