	Center for a New American Dream Recognized for Purchasing Green Power As part of its commitment to green power, the Center for a New American Dream, RPN's parent organization, has been recognized by the Clean Energy Rewards Program of Montgomery County, Maryland. The Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) purchased by New Dream are from regional wind power and cover 100% of organizational electricity needs. More

San Jose Releases Green Fleet Policy
The City of San Jose, CA, an RPN Member and the 10th largest city in the U.S., has just released an ambitious new policy for greening its vehicle fleet. The policy covers both vehicles and heavy equipment and is designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and life-cycle costs. More

First Certified Recycled Paint Available
MetroPaint, from Portland, Oregon, has become the first recycled-content latex paint certified under Green Seal's GS-43 standard. More

	Wal-Mart Sells 100 Millionth CFL Wal-Mart Stores announced it has surpassed its goal to sell 100 million compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) by the end of 2007. The resultant carbon savings are equal to taking 700,000 cars off the road. More
	ENERGY STAR "Quantity Quotes" Program offers Online Bulk Purchasing The Quantity Quotes program provides an online forum for vendors and purchasers of ENERGY STAR registered products to conduct business. Currently, 110 vendors and over 600 organizations have registered for Quantity Quotes. More
